- This crossing was tough because not
only were the waves a bit confused, but my batteries were on
the blink and my auto-pilot decided to take a break with
over 100 miles still to cross!
Oh Boy! Not a lot of fun for Bob and Tania.
Leaving Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Azores Islands

- Waiting for a weather window to open in Ponta
Delgada was difficult. The swell in the bay and marina
was tough on all the boats there. Lines were breaking
and boats were in jeopardy of damage on a daily basis.
My vision was of the RIBS used for whale watching.
Lots and Lots of RIBS! The boat captains for the most
part were considerate but the noise of the boats and myself
rubbing against each others fenders and the pontoon was
unbelievable for Bob and Tania. They could not wait to
leave there!

Tania catching a few winks before her
watch. Bob enjoying his nightly martini.

Tania finally is able to finish her first Atlantic crossing.

At Cascais, Portugal (where we finished our Atlantic
Crossing- here safely in the Marina with a great view of the
Lighthouse) we encountered some unusual "Jellyfish". They were very large (a foot or more in length).
