This trip was a great time to reconnect with old friends (like Dick and Kathy McKinlay below) from Florida.   Great hosts Denise and Mike (who were from the area ) made sure their visit was a memorable one!

 Alan Canfield, Bill "Vasilly" Cavinder, Bob, and Mike enjoyed their first night in Rhodes at a local cafe.  The group posed for a picture after their tour of the island in front of Lindos.  The acropolis of Lindos.  Myth has it that Lindos was originally a temple site for Athena (before 9 B.C.) but underwent many changes throughout the centuries.

  The group took a tour of the fortressed Old Town (the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe) where they saw with tour guide Paul a lot of influences from the Knights Templar or "Knights of St. John" who lived there six centuries ago (here is the "Street of the Knights" - however there are roughly 200 other streets or lanes that have no name).  There are lots of Moorish architectural influences also.  Lance, Helen Rogers, Bob and our host Mike waited for the rest of the group to tour the old harbour area.
