Bob and Tania were invited to a fun day of sailing with a couple they had met in the Azores on São Miguel and met up with again in Lagos (Steve and Carole Parker from Wales).

•   It was a beautiful day on the water and they traveled eastbound on "Courtier" a Gib'Sea 442 to the city of Portimão and had lunch at the anchorage there.

 The scenery was spectacular...

• Tania's "Crocs" finally gave out after many miles on cobblestones in Europe and were given a fine send-off...Storks are protected in Portugal and this couple have a nest to watch over (several old smokestacks in the area have nests on top and are preserved accordingly).    

• Artur from Sopromar became a fixture for repairs of my autopilot.  Tania said if he came around any more she would have to adopt him.  Bahia Beach Bar with all its wonderful meals will be missed by Bob and Tania as well as its amazing setting and views.  It just would not seem right unless there was a "Festa" happening nearby and fireworks at midnight to conclude the event.

• Leaving Lagos was difficult as the area was so incredibly beautiful in rugged fashion.  Some final Grottos pictures.  Praia do Luz where British child Madelaine McCann disappeared some months prior.  The Grottos with Ponte da Piedade Lighthouse.  "Adeus" Lagos and the Algarve area!
