Repair Section

 Overview

One never knows when or where lightning will strike and repairs have to be made...

This section is dedicated to repairs made to me (hopefully not that many but I AM a boat you know):

Bob will add to this section as needs arise...

I was laid up for repairs and hull drying from 2002 through 2004 at Glades Boat Yard approximately 12 miles east of LaBelle, Florida on the Caloosahatchee.

Finally I was dry enough after Bob had me "peeled" to remove my blisters (and I was repaired from a second lightning strike) so it was time to return to water!

My radar was non-functional crossing the Atlantic from Charleston, SC to Horta, Faial Island so Bob had the guys from Mid-Atlantic Yacht Services take my mast down (unfortunately the only way to repair me) and fix a few electrical items (as well as the radar).

Bob and Tania had not seen my bottom for over three years and decided it was time to see if I needed some "spa time".  Fortunately only a few minor problems that were easily corrected.  My autopilot repairs became another story on down the line though...

The autopilot acted up on the crossing from Cascais to Lagos and required some extensive work over several weeks.  My raw water pump on the engine also started leaking and a new pump was ordered that never showed up...Oh well...
