Here are some pictures of my Bon Voyage party
and departure from Gulf Harbour marina in Fort Myers, Florida the last
week of April 2006
(Thank you Bill and Darlene Cole for the great
pictures)
Many THANKS to all the planners,
helpers, and those who attended! It was a special night indeed!
- The evening of the surprise party was so much fun as
Bob and Tania's friends from Gulf Harbour had spent three
weeks planning this get together...

The setting was the Marina which made it somewhat difficult
for the party planners as Bob was working on me (the boat)
almost all day long. Fortunately they had lookouts who
would report when Bob was approaching the parking lot or
walking down the dock, etc. The surprise occurred when
Bob and Tania were supposed to be at Clay and Nunna Spikes
for a dinner party. Venue was changed at the last
moment and "surprise" as everyone filed out of the Marina
Restaurant.
The Planners were able to get the band from the local bar
"The Cracker Box". "Pop" and the guys sure put on a
great show and lots of dancing took place that night...

-
The beautiful weather helped to make the evening a great
success. You can see me (the boat) at the end of "D"
Dock which had been my home for about 10 years. A
wonderful sunset added to the evenings festivities.
The food was a good barbeque that everyone enjoyed.

- Inside the marina restaurant there was more food,
wine, beer, and other drinks for everyone. Darlene,
Pat Canfield, Lance Rogers, Sandi Hill came to say goodbye.
Bob was presented with an "ACME Lightning Bolt Resister
Helmet" to ward off any stray bolts that may come nearby.
Jerry Hill, Marilyn Kistler, Bob and Tania enjoying the
evening.

Bill and Darlene Cole enjoying the sunset. Bob
and Tania cutting the great cake with their picture on it.
The Marina was decorated so cute with all the nautical
balloons and centerpieces.

Clay Spikes, Ann Tate, Frank and Pat Ruggeri and Eddie
Dance came to say goodbye. Alan Canfield offering a
drink. Darlene, Anna Dance, and Marcia DeVries saying
"hi" to the camera.

Pat Canfield and Sandi Hill enjoying the evening.
Dave Copham took his turn at the mike. Darlene and Sue
McNear having some fun.
